Increased Opportunity for Significant Discoveries
Alix Resources has a portfolio of properties located in Alaska, Nunavut Territory, Arizona and Canada. Much of the Company’s current focus is on its coal properties in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Property Profiles
Coal: Saskatchewan
The coal dispositions sit between the Wapawekka Lake and the Adamas discovery. It has been noted that historical data and reports suggest that coal is present to the north edge of the cretaceous rock sequence along the shores of Wapawekka Lake to the north of the Adamas discovery. These reports further suggest that the Wapawekka outcrop is likely associated with a larger deposit to the south. The Adamas intercept is directly south of Wapawekka Lake along the low lying basin adjacent to the south east of the Narrow Hills Uplands.
Gold: Arcadia, Nunavut Territory
The Company, along with joint venture partner Bolero Resources, is discussing strategies to hopefully expand on the approximately 150,000 oz. Au in ground deposit on this property located west of Bathurst Inlet and 140 km west of Miramar Mining’s Hope Bay greenstone belt.
There is an historic non NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate of 640,000 tonnes averaging 7.2 g/t Au (containing approximately 148,000 oz. Au) in the North Central Vein and 139,524 tonnes averaging 8.6 g/t Au (38,600 contained oz. Au) in the Fred Vein.
Gold: White Gold District, Yukon Territory
The Alix/Cloudbreak claims are immediately adjacent to the claims controlled by Underworld. The Alix/Cloudbreak claims are six kilometres east and slightly north of Underworld's Golden Saddle discovery. Analysis of the published regional geologic mapping suggests that the combined area is hosted by similarly aged metamorphic rocks to those at the Golden Saddle discovery.
Gold: Money-Rock, Alaska
The Money-Rock gold properties are located in the Goodpastor Mining District of Alaska. The properties, totaling 1920 acres of State of Alaska mining claims, border claims owned by International Tower Hill Mines plus are adjacent to claims owned by Sumitomo’s Pogo gold mine and approximately 3.0 miles from the Pogo mine portal.
Copper/Gold: Stewart, British Columbia
Four claims are located east, one to the north and one to the south of the discoveries made by Decade Resources Ltd. and in the area of the holdings of Ascot Resources. Decade Resources recently announced drilling results of 7.3 grams per ton of gold across 28.3 metres and 5.78 grams per ton across 28.4 metres (Sept. 14, 2009 Press Release) and 7.5 grams per ton gold across 32.5 metres (Sept. 3, 2009 Press Release). Ascot announced 11 metres of 50 grams per tonne gold on September 22, 2009. |
